Why THIS is my favorite age.

Because this kid says the funniest stuff.

We were just in the middle of eating dinner and he screamed "PEACOCK!" we stopped and looked at him and he goes "Sometimes I just feel like saying Peacock" and kept on eating.

Then when I was doing the dishes I hear him yell "Hey food! Get on my fork!".

Oh, and the kid is going to hate me someday for putting this on the internet, but I also don't think I will be able to hold myself back from telling this to a future girlfriend...

After dinner he told me "Mom, I think I probably need to go to the bathroom because I think I probably need to pee". Ok big man, let's do it. He was sitting on the toilet, just finished peeing and says "Wow, I have a big penis! Sometimes I have a big penis".

Welcome to a life of boys, Lindsay. Get used to it.

Got milk?

I know who should be in the next ad for "Got Milk?". It's my boy. Today I decided would be the day we can start ditching sippy cups and move to real cups without lids. What made me decide this? Well, frankly, all the sippy cups were in the dishwasher. Sometimes, as a parent, we make parenting choices based on what the day is throwing us. Today was not throwing me a bone, to say the least, but the good part was that Logan was rockin' the regular cup. At lunch he said, "Look at me mom, I have a Milkstash". Where does he learn these things?

We were listening to a kiddie CD during lunch, and I have to say, there is nothing that can put a smile on your face like quiet children with mouths full of garbanzo beans bopping up and down to some tunes. In the middle of lunch Logan says "Mom, my bottom is shaking".

We had a visit from Baby Jack Litton this morning! He is just the cutest, sweetest thing and it was so much fun watching him watch the big kids, and watching Logan being so gentle and kind to this little sweetie. It makes me feel so good knowing that he will fall into his role as Big Brother with ease.

18 weeks and Trains

Today I had my 18 week prenatal appointment. Everything looked great! Heartbeats in the 150's, blood pressure 120's over 70's, up 13 lbs total for entire pregnancy, and measuring at a whopping 25 weeks! Ahahahaha! Dr. Wenzel actually said "Wow, you are really growing!". I told her about our big news about having two boys and she was not only shocked, but also informed me that the boys could potentially be identical, even though they are in seperate sacs. Being on Clomid though, and the fact that I felt that I had ovulated twice, I really think our boys are fraternal.

I had a bit of a dizziness spell on Saturday morning while shopping with Logan at Target. After talking to my Dr. today, we really think it was just low blood sugar, and the fact that I am pumping a lot of extra blood through my body. Other than that, she said that everything is perfect, and to keep doing what I am doing!

18 weeks 1 Day

In Logan-Land, our boy has a new hobby - Thomas the Train! And all of his friends, of course. Logan can easily name off every Thomas and Friends train from Percy to Troublesome Trucks. This could become a very expensive hobby...

Best. Thing. Ever.

This morning my sweet baby boy looked at me and said "Mom, I love you being my mommy". How could I not just melt into a giant puddle of love for my toddler? This was probably the best thing I have ever heard him say.

Then, when hugging him before naptime, he repeated this to me, but with a little bit extra; "Mom, I love you being my mommy, and I really, really, really have to pee".

BOYS!

I haven't been this shocked in a ultrasound since they told us I was baking two babes. But to hear I was baking two baby BOYS... WOW! We cannot wait to see what our sweet boys will look like. Logan is going to love having brothers, and being so close in age, I know they will be a blast to watch grow up. Man, are we blessed or what?

17 Weeks

Yesterday was the most gorgeous weather for a picnic in the park. We got Subway, grabbed our picnic blanket, and enjoyed the shade and breeze. It was also the perfect opportunity to take my 17 week belly picture.

Logan saying "NO! Don't take my picture".

Chowing down on turkey, cheese, and black olive sammie.

Of course, Brian and I were done eating ages before our boy. This kid is the slowest. Eater. Ever.

He loved the Merry-go-round. He had to ride on each one.

Oh, and I almost forgot the belly. I officially have heartburn, and cannot eat more than 5 bites of food without having to walk around to try to breathe. The not being able to breathe usually lasts about an hour or two after each meal.

Loganisms

Logan: Mom you get me cantelope?!
Me: Yea!
Logan: We got that at the store last night!
Me: Yep, we did.
Logan: Good thing we found it at the store, it could have been anywhere!

***
(Tonight at dinner - just the two of us)
Logan: Mom, we are missing a friend!
Me: Oh no, what friend are we missing?
Logan: My Daddy!

***
(Tonight while snuggling in my bed. I was reading, and he was watching his new movie about trucks)
Logan: OUCH! My eye! (as he is covering it with his hand)
Me: What is wrong with your eye?
Logan: There's a little finger in it!
Me: Well, Logan, take your finger out of your eye.
Logan: Oh!

16 weeks 1 day...

... and growing!

Funniest Birthday Card Ever

Stacey totally gets me. When I opened this birthday card from her, I laughed more than the average person laughs at a birthday card. I think it was partly because the card is simply humerous, and partly because next year, on my 30th Birthday, I will have 3 kids. Mostly, though, because this card could not have been better planned out.

15 weeks, and some smooches

I had my 15 week prenatal appointment yesterday. My doctor gave her prediction of Baby A being a girl, and Baby B being a boy based on their heartbeats. I am hoping that since she has delivered about a bagillion babies that maybe she has some expertise in guessing. :) She told me that I am "really blossoming", which cracked me up. Um, Doc, you can just say that I look like I am carrying a watermelon. I can take it. As for the rest of the appointment, everything is good, up 5 lbs, ultrasound a week from Monday. I now start every two week appointments which just seems crazy! I am pretty much about half way through my pregnancy.

As for some smooches, I just have to note how Logan has made it a point to name the different smooches he gives throughout the day. For example, there is the "little smooch", the "BIG smooch", the "cheek smooch", the "nosey smooch", and so on. He is the loviest kid and I just love lovin' on him.

Good observation, Logan!

Logan and I were sitting in the big chair in the living room around dusk, sharing a chocolate truffle when he looked out the window and said,

"Mommy, the clouds are changing to 'bootiful' colors!".

Can you imagine the world through the eyes of a two-year-old? Amazing.
